Most single-use plastic packaging ends up in landfill or as litter. It’s time for the next Commonwealth Government to take action by introducing new laws that require producers to reduce, reuse, and recover the packaging they place on the market.
With 85% of Australians concerned about plastic pollution*, we need real packaging solutions that lower household costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and protect human and environmental health. This means removing unnecessary single-use packaging and ensuring any packaging used is collected, recovered, and reused.
